       The Path
When the path beneath your feet is rough
Don't keep still - keep moving,
One step at a time is enough.
Don't get bogged down
Stuck in a trough
Rooted to the ground
Listening to the sound
Of the suffering.
Move on, keep flowing
Look forwards, keep growing.
Everything will pass!
So before you know it
The path underfoot will be grass.
So get your skates on
With skips, hops and jumps,
You can leap along lightly
Over mud, flood and bumps.
With practise you'll find
Whether on rough or on smooth
The joy of the Path is the journey of truth.
