       Split in Four
One heart divided, split in four
Went different ways in days of yore
        One mind fragmented splintered into
Four different strands, four points of view.
The black went south, the white to north
The yellow moved east, red to west, the fourth.
Each culture apart, with a quarter map
One segment of a rainbow and a dissatisfied gap.
Was filled with yearning for their three-quarters kin
So in time they united to one heart-mind again.
