A rainbow of seasons
Lemon sun in the morning
Lime buds on the trees
Against turquoise sky
On a springtime breeze.
Scarlet posy of poppies
In a green field of wheat
With ripening ears
In red summer heat.
Mustard and yellow
Purple and brown -
Warm earthy jewels
In autumn's gold crown.
Black trees in the crisp frost
Against lavender snow
Pale blue and ice swansong
Of winter's cold show.

From the brush of the sun
Mixing four palettes
And a year's painting's done!
