       This Precious Human Life
      Singing songs of
gladness to the one eternal light
Painting pictures rich and colourful to express delight
Gathering flowers a-plenty, to strew upon the ground
And plucking tunes of merriment with instrumental sound.
The days are lit with joyfulness to show
        the way to bliss
The trees are borne with blossoms to hint at love's sweet kiss
The smiles that play on happy faces are reflections of the truth,
Like purity and goodness and the innocence of youth.
The solar disc shines night and day to
        remind us of the absolute
The stars revolve in myriad ways impossible to compute
The earth gleams like a turquoise gem in the blackness of space,
Mirroring the preciousness of the ultimate's face.
Dancing with happiness to express the life
        within
Speaking words of kindness to communicate love's hymn
Touching wounds of hurt and pain to rescue them from strife
And writing poems of gratitude for this precious human life.
