John

"John" is a 72-year-old gentleman who has suffered from bowel problems for the last 16 years. His problems began in 1985 when he was first diagnosed with colonic cancer and had to undergo surgery to have part of his large intestine removed. The tumour reappeared in 1990 and again in March 2000 necessitating further surgery each time to remove more of the colon. By the time of the final operation there was so little healthy large intestine left, that the only surgical option was to remove what remained of the colon and perform an ileostomy to bring the small intestine to the surface of the body.

When John came for his first course of Energy Field Therapy at the beginning of April 2001, he had taken the courageous decision not to follow up his surgery with either chemotherapy or radiotherapy. He was looking for a way to help strengthen his immune system and to help him recover some of the quality of life he had had before the ileostomy. He was having to take 8 Imodium tablets and 4 Codeine phosphate tablets daily to control the consistency of his digested food. If he tried to reduce the dose of these tablets his faeces would turn to liquid - a very distressing situation for anyone having to use an ileostomy bag.

John found the whole experience very relaxing - so much so that he fell asleep on several occasions, despite the fact that the treatments were carried out while he was sitting in a chair because of his condition! There were strong energetic releases from many parts of his body, which left John feeling very tired by the fourth day, but very positive about the way the sessions had gone. He was eager to institute the lifestyle changes we had discussed and saw his first taste of EFT as the beginning of an ongoing commitment he had made to himself to stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible.

Eight weeks later, when John rang to book his second course of treatment, he was delighted to report that he had been able to cut his medication down to a total of 2 to 3 tablets daily without ill-effects! This represented a 75% reduction in his drug intake in just two months!

This is a remarkable achievement in such a short space of time, especially as the surgery resulted in the removal of his large intestine - which is normally responsible for the absorption of water from digested food to produce solid waste. The EFT has enabled the small intestine to adapt its digestive processes so that it can produce formed faeces, without the high levels of medication that were needed previously. As John is only in the early stages of his treatment there may well be even further improvements possible.
