Animals: Lilli "LILLI" is a gorgeous, soft, fluffy 3-year-old Persian cat. Like most cats of this breed, she has tended to suffer from a discharge in her eyes since being a kitten. However, in 1998 matters took a turn for the worse when she also developed discharges in her ears and from her nose. These became more problematical during 1999, with Lili receiving 11 courses of antibiotics between July and November, in addition to other types of medications. During this time she also had a second attack of cystitis, indicating just how much her immune system was struggling. For 7 months, homeopathic remedies and flower essences considerably improved her symptoms, so much so, that no other medications were needed. However, in June 2000, she suffered another flare-up of cystitis, which was so bad she was passing blood. Radiography showed that her bladder was very thickened, probably because of a long-term low-grade inflammation, and it was decided to proceed with EFT. Lilli had EFT in August & September 2000. Within two months of completing the second course, Lilli had changed dramatically. This was by no means plain sailing as for the first 4 weeks a strong cleansing reaction resulted in her eyes discharging much more than they had been, together with the reoccurrence of cystitis and bloody urine for several days. After this however, she made rapid progress, becoming "a completely different cat". Lili was more relaxed and content, her appetite had increased enormously (she was always a fussy eater), her back legs "muscled up considerably" and as she seemed to have "grown" and "changed shape." Her eyes, ears, and breathing were soon better than they had ever been. Lilli went 5 months without problems and then had a relapse when her owners went away for the weekend. It seemed too much of a coincidence that her cystitis had flared up at this stage without it being related to the emotional distress she felt at being separated from them. Lilli symptoms were very severe this time. She was trying to pass urine almost continuously and there was a lot of blood in it when she did manage to urinate. It took 4 to 5 days for this to settle down, with the help of antibiotics, homeopathic remedies and flower essences. We went ahead with another course of EFT on the 2nd April 2001 as soon as she was stable. Lilli was very "out of sorts" following the treatment "not knowing what to do with herself." However, although she was drinking a lot more than normal there was no blood in her urine and her appetite remained good. Within 5 weeks she was much brighter, was playing more and her eyes, ears and nose were much better again. Lilli's owners had to go away for several weeks shortly after this - with a good deal of trepidation at what the consequences would be. We gave a flower essence to help lessen Lilli's feelings of rejection and when they returned they were very surprised and pleased to discover that she was and still is in very good health again.
