Animals: Jag Jag, a beautiful 4-year-old Bengal, was under treatment for oesophageal Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex for just over 2 years when he first came for EFT. An extremely distressing and unusual disease it resulted in Jag developing very painful swellings in his oesophagus causing him to gag when he was eating. The condition sometimes became so bad that it was too painful for him to eat, but he did manage to swallow some food he would regurgitate it shortly afterwards. He was then on 2.5mg of prednisolone daily to control it and any attempt to reduce this dose left him gagging, vomiting and unable to swallow. After one course of treatment the dose of the
steroids required to keep him free of signs was reduced by 75% to 80%!
(He is currently on 2.5mg prednisolone every 4 to 5 days). His temperament
has also changed dramatically. He has become noticeably friendlier and
even enjoys being petted while sitting on people's laps, which is something
he had never done before. He is much more vocal and his appetite has improved.
Jag has recently had a second course of therapy and we are eagerly waiting
to see just how much more improvement is possible.
